Ross County have sacked Derek Adams in response to the club s poor start to the Scottish Premiership season.

County returned to the Scottish top flight last term and recorded a seventh-placed finish under Adams, who also used to play for the club.

The stint in charge was Adams second he also managed the club from 2007 and 2010 and he returned in 2011 after a brief stint at Hibernian.

The club have lost their first four games of the current campaign, though, and Saturday s 2-1 defeat at Dundee United proved the final straw.

Adams father, George, who was director of football at Ross County, will also depart the club.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez insinuated Manchester United did not allow Tom Cleverley get to Merseyside, as to not bolster a rival.

United, battling to get back into the Premier League s top four after finishing seventh in 2013-14, were looking to part ways with Cleverley, eventually shipping the midfielder to Aston Villa on loan on deadline day.

Martinez, who linked up with the England international when he was loaned from United to Wigan for the 2010-11 season, said he was a big fan of the 25-year-old.

But bringing him to Goodison Park was made tougher by United s seeming unwillingness to bolster a rival to their UEFA Champions League ambitions, according to Martinez.

Ubisoft has been hard at work on its upcoming free-to-play shooter XDefiant, which will be releasing on May 21, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. In a recent blog post, the French gaming giant shed some light on its stance on skill-based matchmaking and how it plans to use that for its upcoming release.

According to the post, Ubisoft will not be using traditional skill-based matchmaking for its players, and instead, it will be utilizing different factors to ensure a smooth playing experience across different playlists. Pocketpair’s survival sensation Palworld hasn’t landed on PlayStation even now, but speculation has been rife in recent days that that could change soon, courtesy o a PS5 version of the title being spotted on a list of games set to appear at Tokyo Game Show next week, which was published by Japan’s CESA.

Since then, however, it seems the CESA has updated said list. Spotted by a user on ResetEra, the unannounced supposed PS5 version of Palworld is no longer included in the aforemeSports Bettingntioned list. The title was seemingly removed from the list shortly after it was first discovered last week.

Whether that means the game was listed in error, or if Palworld 

Darren Fletcher is only the eighth outfield player to appear in 100 consecutive Premier League matches after being named in Stoke City s starting XI to face Bournemouth on Saturday.
